Common questions
Emergency loan FAQs
How much can I borrow for an emergency?
You can borrow between $2,100 and $5,000, over a fixed term of 12 months. Total upfront fees are $408.
The amount offered depends on the credit assessment and on the vehicle offered as security.
How quickly can I get the money?
Most decisions are made the same business day once all supporting documents are received. If you are approved and accept your contract, funds are sent by PayID, often within minutes of being disbursed, or by EFT the next business day.
Can I apply if I have bad credit?
You can apply. We consider a range of circumstances rather than a credit score on its own, and every application goes through a credit and affordability assessment. Past credit issues may affect the outcome.
Is this a car pawn loan? Can I keep driving my car?
No. This is not a pawn loan. AutoSwift Finance is not a pawnbroker, and you do not hand your car over. The loan is secured by a vehicle registered in your name: a security interest is registered on the PPSR, and you keep full use and possession of the car for the whole loan term.
What does an emergency loan cost?
The interest rate is fixed at 47% p.a. Total fixed upfront fees are $408, made up of a $400 establishment fee and an $8 credit check fee. There is no application fee, no monthly account-keeping fee and no early payout fee.
A $35 dishonoured payment fee applies if a scheduled payment is missed or returned, and a $25 reschedule fee applies if a scheduled payment is rescheduled.
Is approval guaranteed?
No. All applications are subject to credit assessment. We assess your ability to repay without substantial hardship, and not all applications are approved.
If you are in financial hardship, contact us at cs@autoswift.com.au or 1300 894 686 before a payment is due.
